
Creamy Tomato Basil Pasta

Ingredients:
- 8 oz Best Italian Pasta (penne or rigatoni)
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan (optional)
Instructions:
- Cook Best Italian Pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and let the sauce thicken for 2-3 minutes.
- Toss in the drained pasta, adding reserved pasta water if needed for a smooth sauce.
- Stir in fresh basil and top with Parmesan.
- Serve warm and enjoy a creamy, flavorful Italian dish!
